On June 20 the Kelowna Yacht Club hosted the annual Boat for Hope charity event held for children of disabilities along with their sisters, brothers, parents an caregivers. It was fantastical, with live entertainment, games and prizes a boat ride to pirate boats on Okanagan Lake where the children received more prizes and finally a BBQ. Many volunteers and organizations came together to make this FREE event a huge success.
Mexico is reaching out to help their brothers in their necessity, support teams have been organized all over the country sending water, food, clothes, donations are being made in special accounts, celebrities are participating in fund collecting marathons. The situation is a serious one, more than 800,000 have lost everything they own, their homes, their business, their crops. Practically everything was damaged.
A group of super cool Univ. of Illinois Chicago volunteers came into New Orleans and volunteered. Their efforts isted a New Orleans neighbor in need. Thanks again guys! You were great!
