Goodwill Industries Industrial Capabilities

Goodwill Industries has an 80-year history as an auto supplier through its relationships with Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. Goodwill’s Industrial Operations Division has proven to be a cost-effective solution for OEMs and the agency is always interested in discovering and developing new partnerships. Goodwill is trained, trusted and ready to work, for its partners and for the people of Southeast Michigan.
Your audience might be interested to know Goodwill’s Industrial Operations Division provides paid work experience for individuals with disabilities or other special needs. Revenues from the division’s activities support Goodwill Industries’ efforts to help individuals with barriers to employment join or rejoin the workforce through job training, education and other career services programs. Approximately 700 businesses currently employ individuals who received training through the programs.
Goodwill Industries is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified and provides light embly, packaging, cabling and kitting services. Some of the activities the agency is equipped to handle include cable and harness embly, automated bagging, heat sealing, product packaging, sorting, inspecting and salvaging.

Goodwill Industries Southwestern Michigan – Capital Campaign

Goodwill a not-for-profit organization provides education, training and employment services to people who live with disabling conditions and other special needs to maximize their employment potential. This video highlights the fundraising efforts of our newly renovated corporate headquarter. The building was donated to Goodwill in December of 2005 by the Stryker Corporation and the agency moved into its new headquarters in December of 2006. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES TEAMS WITH DETROIT BARS 5pm WJBK 6-4-09

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit and Generation Goodwill are teaming up with a handful of Detroit bars for Detroit’s Big Bar Night – a fundraising event to fight local unemployment.
Patrons can to participate by donating $5 for a Generation Goodwill wristband, and each bar will provide exclusive food and drink offers for wristband purchasers. All money raised will support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit’s mission to provide job training, education and career istance to unemployed individuals in the region.
Generation Goodwill is a newer initiative of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit that provides young Metro Detroit adults the opportunity and inspiration to make a positive impact on the regions success. Built of a community of students and young professionals, Generation Goodwill works with those who care about making the Detroit region a better place to live. In the past two years of the organizations nearly 90-year history, Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit has placed more than 2,500 Wayne, Oakland and Macomb county individuals into new jobs and provided education, training and career istance to thousands more in the region.

Metro Detroiters can have a good time, save some money and support their unemployed friends and neighbors just by purchasing a wristband, said Mark Lane, Director of Public Relations and Special Events for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. Our partners and their customers are really stepping up to help Metro Detroiters find jobs.
The Designate, Metro Detroit’s premier on-call chauffeur driving service, will donate 25 percent of proceeds from Detroits Big Bar Night participants rides home to help put people back to work. Two free rides home from The Designate will be auctioned off during the event with proceeds supporting Goodwill Industries.
