Over 200 Creighton University Pre Law students volunteered at Open Door Mission on August 20, 2009. Candace Gregory introduces you to a group that worked hanging donated clothes that will be given to nearly 12,000 people in the community this month.

On Dec. 20, 2007, food and clothes were donated to those in need on East Hastings. I’m really short, which explains why the camera angle was low most of the time.
Jim Weiss, president of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Council of Los Angeles, talks about the organization’s thrift store operation. The sale of usable donations (furniture, appliances, electronics, vehicles, clothing and more) help support the Council’s various outreach programs for children, women and men.
