Living On Credit Cards

Posted on February 8th, 2010 by admin

With the economy as it is we have had a hard time paying our bills. My husband lost his job as an electrician when the construction market dried up. He was able to pick up odd jobs here and there and that helped a little. We had always prided ourselves on paying our credit card off every month, but one month we just didn’t have the money. Next, we were putting groceries and utilities on the credit card just to make it. I don’t have to tell you that you can’t keep that up for long. My husband is back to work now, but we’re left with a huge credit card debt from the year he wasn’t working. Settling credit card debt was easy when we had a steady income and could pay off the debt as we went along but, now the debt has simply overtaken us, it has become a case of paying off what we can pay rather than what we should be paying.
