Cleaning Up The Debt

A friend of mine has loads of credit card debt as well as other debt. I can’t really fault her for it, because it’s been the consequence of a series of unfortunate events. Health problems and unemployment in the family has led her to this point. Her credit is horrible and she has lots of small and large loans in different places. It’s basically a mess, and I’m trying to help her through the process of settling credit card debt. It’s not easy, but I think if she can get it done her life and financial issues will really seem less overwhelming. I’ve really gained an understanding and more compassion for people in debt through this process. I hope I’ll never have to do this for myself, but if it ever comes to that point, at least I’ll know what to do.
