ALmost all of them are non-profit groups and they accept donations only. They then sell those donations and that is how they make their money.

You can get money from consignment shops. I’m not sure exactly how it works, though. You might have to wait until they sell the items to get paid.

Consignment Shops work on a percentage basis. They may get 70% and you get 30%. Also, keep a detail list of items you plan to sell as all consignment shops are not the same. The shop should also give you a list of prices that they intend on selling your items for. Be sure to call and compare services.
