What are some charities that really need donations?

I’m going to donate money to a charity, and I’m looking for one that is really in need of a donation. please give me a website(: All answers are appreciated!
Look around your community. Look for local organizations that will use your generous donation to really help people, and not pay wages and benefits. Or buy food with your money and donate it to the food pantry or a soup kitchen. Buy blankets and give them to the homeless or buy new toothbrushes and hair brushes and donate them to the local domestic abuse shelter. The need is great; the opportunities are endless

You should really consider donating to your local Salvation Army. There are so many people in need in every community these days, and the Army is the only place that a lot of them are able to get help from. Without them, a lot of families wouldn’t be able to eat, pay their bills, buy meds, the list goes on.
Donate locally, it goes to help your own community.

Some charities not only need money, they need stuff that people toss out.
A good charity group is FREECYCLE
please join FREECYCLE and you can pass on things to people who really will make use of them.

To help locally in the USA, Catholic Worker communities have taken a vow of poverty to serve the needyof every background regardless of faith – they always need donations & volunteers. They normally provide meals to the homeless as well as temporary shelter where possible. These folk are extremely different from Catholic charities.
