Maria Bartiromo on President Obama’s Budget
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Leo, True! The …
Leo, True! The liberal attitude is that it’s not enough you are spending other people’s money, but, one day they have a taste for a goose dinner so they kill the goose that lays the Golden Eggs, for that dinner. . . the consequences!
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
The problem with …
The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people’s money.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Look. mr unaware, …
Look. mr unaware, every aspects of Mr Obama’s proposals are based on socialistic ideology. So the banks will be nationalized, health care also, etc. Don’t you see, man, there is more GOVT. and expansion. The govt is taking over. Massive spending!!!This what socialist govt. do. Wher will he get the money from, borrowing, more debts, augmenting the federal deficits, devaluing the dollar, etc. Do you want this? then good luck.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Then you have the …
Then you have the audacity to label countries with words that bring up terrible images of corrupt governments and despicable acts when: 1, you don’t even trust your own government; and 2, your government has shamed you all by enabling such things as torture and extreme rendition. I’m not even going to challenge you on the whole socialism/ Marxist comment on health care and education because you obviously haven’t even listened to Obama. It’s like you people love to argue out your .
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Ram you obviously …
Ram you obviously know nothing about socialism other than the politics. First of all the United States isn’t a purely capitalistic country. So unless you consider such entitlements like medicare and health insurance socialism be quiet. Americans are so obdurate and fail to realize the good policies of other countries. You pay 5% more per GDP on health care yet your health system is one of the worst in the world.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
FDR invested a lot …
FDR invested a lot of money into the economy in order for the country to prosper in the long-term because the malaise of their present situation meant that it was going to tough in the short-run. I’m sure no one could dispute that FDR failed in his efforts to revitalize the economy especially since the Democrats took control of the presidency for a generation after wards.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
You people are …
You people are morons. From the simple fact that you speak about huge deficits, I know that you nothing about the Great Depression. After coming out of the depression their were huge public deficits. But who do you expect when the demand in the economy was at an all time low. Do you really think cutting taxes will counter a recession of this magnitude? What equates in a savings of at most a couple grand for taxpayers result in tens of billions of losses in tax revenue.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
This BUDGET will …
This BUDGET will wreck the USA. Too much spending, where will the money come from? First of all this will cause extremely huge deficit, and the dollar will subsequently be devalued, since the govt. will have to borrow money. This is Socialism/Marxist policy which have FAILED, miserably. I have lived in a Socialist country, and the same policies were initiated on Health Care, Education, etc, and you know what, I ran away from that country to live the USA. That was Guyana, my friend.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Many of us are more …
Many of us are more qualified than mr oblama. And that, alone, scares me. Manyh of us have run businesses, been in charge of payrolls, accomplished business dealings with foreign countries, served in the military or national guard, and were responsible for the income of hundreds of employees. Whereas, mr oblama has not. Ergo, unqualified, needs to go.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
HAHa You got one …
HAHa You got one thing right…Due to his spending ….I OWE HIM BIG! And my children will owe him BIG TOO!
Sorry I didn’t recognize you sooner as one of those in a slobbering love affair with the Prez! We are wasting our time here…I personally was hoping Cheney would take him hunting…Pelosi needs to accompany them as well.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
It’s always printed …
It’s always printed….that’s how money comes about….money is borrowed into existence.
The falling value of the dollar is nothing new….been happening all through Bush’s reign. I’ve had to make some major changes to my business, because of this.
What you aren’t getting is the seriousness of our situation. We r past simply raising int. rates to slow down the economy….Gspan saw to that. Economic stimulus is how you stop it from becoming a depression. Obama is doing fine, you own him big.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
It amazes me to …
It amazes me to hear people slam Obama when they, themselves, are not even qualified to carry his briefcase.
By all means, keep repeating mindless Republican talking points, just like they want you to, instead of coming up with a plan, while Obama actually does something about it.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Ah, no, you are …
Ah, no, you are incorrect….unless you are suggesting that he put in place an ex post facto law?
None of you understand what needs to happen to fend off this recession, at all.
I just see the same borrowed talking points, over and over.
Where are your plans to stop the recession?
Obama has one, do you?
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
van – It looks just …
van – It looks just that way. Now, it is time for the People to stand-up and say, NO, to mr oblama’s budget. Our current president is a clown. He’s never worked a day in his life and throws the Billion Dollar figures around, like they’re dimes. But as oblama has said, it’s time for change…. which means it’s time to change our congress to more responsible members.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Hello franz, mr …
o franz, mr oblama is unqualified!
Has he ever run any kind of a business?
Has he ever run any size of a business?
Has he ever been in charge of a payroll?
Has he ever been responsible for any time of foreign affairs?
Has he ever been in charge of any military force,,,, including a national guard unit?
Has he ever worked with the management of large, medium or even small businesses?
The answer to all of these questions is a NO!
Therefore, Franz, mr oblama is not qualified.

There’s a HUGE G-20 …
There’s a HUGE G-20 meeting this weekend… there is a whispering campaign to remove the dollar as the “reserve currency” of the world.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
All of this costs …
All of this costs money… Money we don’t have, unless we print it! And then monetize it like we did last week! This is all DEBASING OF YOUR CURRENCY Countries like Russia, and China, and others are lining up to question what is going on in the U.S. and say if it continues, they believe the promise the U.S. made in 1971 to allow the currency to float, but not ever get too far in debt” is now in the past, and the dollar needs to be removed as the reserve currency of the world.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Yeah, Boy Genius …
Yeah, Boy Genius allowed the bonus..he could have vetoed it!
Hey, guess what? We should allow some of these guys to fail! Where do you get this sense of entitlement of now allowing anyone to FAIL? We can’t hold them up…there is simply not enough money. Boy genius again allowed Geithner to print all this money last week. Guess what this does to our dollar? We have been living high on the hog for some time its time to pay the piper now with all the bad debt we incurred through the banks.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
OK, so you have no …
OK, so you have no plan to stop the recession.
You just want to about the bonuses.
You obviously don’t know anything about business.
You claim the Obama is not qualified, yet you have no plan to head off the recession before it becomes a full -scale depression.
The bonuses were not part of the package, they were always in place, they are not new, or something Obama GAVE to AIG.
Banks have to load money, fact.
Your plan, now, to head off the recession???
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
“No one is happy …
“No one is happy about the bonuses”
You get real here! Both Dodd and Geithner knew these bonuses were in the package and they failed to remove it. It then went to our arrogant Pres and he didn’t remove it either. SORRY is too late! I don’t know about you but the rest of us are sick about it!
THEY KNEW IT and didn’t care.we gave AIG 152 BILLION. Obama approved the bonuses which came to be anywhere from 1-4 million to 168 individuals as “retention” bonuses. What a joke!
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
I know business..it …
I know business..it plain and simple…or used to be. If you can’t make a profit and hold your head above water you FAIL otherwise you become a successful businessman. What changed?? Gov’t got involved and decided some were too big to fail. Sorry, I think we could have done without
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
What do you think …
What do you think will happen when the banks stop lending money, as they are already starting to now?
Do you know how business operate here in the US?
No one is happy about the bonuses…except those executives. But you have to get real here. We are trying to stop a depression.
We have had massive deregulation, combined with Greenspan keeping interest rates artificially low for way too long.
When the banks can no longer loan money, we have a real problem.
If you know a better plan, post.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Yea, lets stop …
Yea, lets stop bailing out the banks and auto companies. It’s a bottomless pit! Throwing good money after bad. I am not for the Obama program of bailing out the banks with our money and then letting the banks execs take their millions in bonuses. o….who is the smart one here??? Not our prez! I am furious and you should be! Since 50% of the people don’t pay taxes at all… well , maybe they wouldn’t be unhappy…it’s someone else paying anyway.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Obama is heading …
Obama is heading off a depression. That’s how it’s done.
You have a better plan??
By all means, let’s hear it.
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Laff.
So, what’s …
Laff.
So, what’s your plan to pull out of this recession, before it becomes a full-blown depression?
Obama has one. Do you?
