Now that you’ve verified your drawings are accurate and your cabinets are on order you can proceed to the next step, room preparation.
If you haven’t done so already you will need to remove your old cabinets, counter-tops and appliances. If you’re replacing your flooring, your should remove the old flooring now as well.
Make sure to wear appropriate safety items like safety goggles, gloves, protective footwear and a hard hat. Also use a respirator if you are disturbing any flooring, drywall or insulation. If you suspect any of your old building materials contain asbestos, like floor and ceiling tiles or insulation, you should probably get a professional demolition expert involved or learn about the proper handling and disposal requirements.
